Founded in 2001 by Paulie & Steven as a specialty cake bakery dedicated to equal parts presentation and flavor, Key West Cakes started small. A small kitchen and tight-knit group of cake artists in off-the-path Key West kitchen has since led to fairy-tale success. Over time, several key team members joined Key West Cakes and the operation grew.

2010 saw Key West Cakes move into their headquarters, a brand-new custom-built bakery on historic White Street.

In 2010 and again in 2012, Key West Cakes was awarded the selectively prestigous "Best in Weddings" designation by premier wedding planning resource The Knot. (The Knot's "Best in Weddings" designation is voted on internationally by brides having Key West weddings).
